Bio

Born in Yilan, Taiwan, and based in New York City, Jack Huang is a vibraphonist, pianist, percussionist, and composer whose music moves between stillness and transformation. Deeply rooted in the belief that music is a vessel for healing, Jack weaves the meditative lyricism of his Taiwanese heritage with the improvisational freedom of New York jazz, creating a sanctuary of sound for reflection and renewal.

A Manhattan School of Music alumnus and 2025 Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Artist, Jack has performed at premier U.S. venues like Dizzy’s Club and The Jazz Gallery. A sought-after collaborator in the New York scene, he is featured on several forthcoming album releases recorded over 2025 and 2026. Internationally, his performances span prominent Asian venues, including 宅 · Jhouse Coffee Bar & Jazz in Taiwan, Club Evans in Seoul, and jazz clubs across Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. As a dynamic bandleader and educator, he co-leads the cross-cultural 3:130 Trio and is the leader of the JSQ Trio, steering their extensive 2026 tour across Taiwan and Japan featuring high-profile performances and educational masterclasses. Balancing openness with depth, Jack’s artistry invites listeners to rediscover sincerity, proving that transformation often begins in stillness.
